Kerry County Council through its Library Service operates 9 Branch Libraries throughout the County - Ballybunion, CaherciveenCastleisland, An DaingeanKenmareKillarneyKillorglin, Listowel and Tralee. In addition 2 Mobile Libraries  serve 91 locations around Kerry. Each Branch Library provides adult and children's book lending, including audio books, large print titles, reference collections, local and daily newspapers. Killarney Library is a designated Europe Direct Information Centre.


The Kerryman 1950-2008 is now online and access is available through the public internet computers at each Kerry Library

The online catalogue is a database of all items available at the 9 Branches of Kerry Library . It allows you to search for books by keyword, title, ISBN, etc.

One can check if a book is in stock and at which location is it available.

In addition users may access their library account information by using a combination of their 14 digit borrower card number and a four digit PIN No. which can be assigned at any Branch Library.

Internet and Office applications are available to the public at all Branch Libraries.

The Kerry Local Studies & Archives Collection is based at the Library Headquarters in Tralee. This section aims to collect and make available as comprehensive as possible a collection of material relating to the history of the County, including published books, manuscripts, photographs, newspapers and sound recordings.
